TOP STORY
📹️ Adobe releases “Generate Video”

This week, Adobe launched its AI video generator (currently available in a public beta), allowing anyone to create five-second, 1080p clips from text or images.

  • This tool is part of the Firefly web app, which now integrates with Creative Cloud applications like Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

  • Unlike other AI video generators, Firefly is trained on licensed and public domain content, making it commercially safe for professional use.

  • Users can refine their videos by adjusting styles, camera angles, and motion.

Free users get a limited number of generative AI creations each month.

Once you reach your limit, you can either subscribe to a paid plan for continued access to Firefly-powered assets or wait for your credits to reset next month.

Here are some cool examples of what you can create with this AI video generator 👇️

Prompt: cloudy mist on a green screen background only, camera is steady and there are no objects in the video other than the mist

Prompt: aerial footage of a majestic snow-capped mountain reflected in a calm lake.

Prompt: 3D chibi style orange cat, subtle head turns, walks away

Prompt: a flickering flame on a black background only, camera is steady and there are no objects in the video other than the flame

“We are underwater in the deep sea, cinematic underwater footage, slightly below the ocean surface we can see a blue whale gently swimming through the water towards us, with a second whale slightly behind, warm sun beams are shining into the void from the surface, static camera and slow motion.”

ANIMATION
🪶 Rive releases “Vector Feathering”

This week, Rive released “Vector Feathering,” a new feature for creating glow and shadow effects for vector graphics.

  • Unlike traditional blur effects, Vector Feathering softens the edges of vector paths without slowing down performance.

  • This makes it ideal for creating scalable, high-quality graphics that work well even on lower-end devices.

  • Vector Feathering is perfect for adding depth and lighting to designs, like creating realistic drop shadows, glowing highlights, or soft edges on shapes.

This breakthrough is powered by Rive’s advanced rendering technology, allowing for fast, high-performance graphics with depth and lighting.

It’s a game-changer for creating professional, scalable designs.

Rive is used by companies like Duolingo, Figma, Pepsi, and Google to create lightweight, interactive animations.

WEB DESIGN
🎨 Lovable releases “Visual Edits”

This week, Lovable released a new feature called “Visual Edits,” allowing users to customize their app & website designs more precisely.

  • Previously, Lovable enabled users to quickly build apps and websites through text prompts + AI.

  • Now, with Visual Edits, you can make real-time adjustments to any element on the page.

Essentially, you can now create a website in seconds (with AI), then make your manual own adjustments to elements (similar to Figma).

Lovable is a new Stockholm-based startup that allows anyone to create apps with AI. They just raised €6.8 million last October.
