💻️ Framer Releases New “Text Effects” Feature, OpenType Support

Framer just launched a cool new feature: Text Effects. Now, you can make the text on your website come alive by animating characters, words, lines, and elements (with a real-time preview).

With “Text Effects,” you can now:

• Choose from built-in presets to get started quickly.

• Customize animations with options like Blur, Scale, and 3D.

• Fine-tune your animations with detailed settings.

• Set your animations to trigger when your content appears, when a layer is in view, or when a section is in view.

Framer’s July Update also includes OpenType support. This means you can do much more with your fonts, like Inter. You can choose any custom or Fontshare font and check the properties to see all the available OpenType features.

📹️ Google is Releasing an AI Video Editor Called “Vids”

Google is launching a new app called “Vids,” which is coming soon to Workspace Labs.

Announced in April, Vids lets you combine docs, slides, voiceovers, and video recordings into a timeline to create presentation videos for sharing with coworkers.

Vid uses Google Gemini’s AI to automatically insert stock footage, generate scripts, and even add an AI voiceover for your presentation without you having to say a word.

Vids isn’t about creating lifelike footage like OpenAI’s Sora. Instead, it helps you make presentation videos by describing what you want Gemini to create, and then you can edit the video afterward.

🎵 Artlist x Canva Partnership Brings 100,000+ Videos & 15,000+ Songs to Canva

Canva and stock footage site Artlist have partnered together to offer Canva users premium royalty-free songs and cinematic footage for videos, social media content, and presentations, all without extra subscriptions.

You will now be able to access Artlist’s 100,000+ cinematic videos and 15,000+ royalty-free songs and music tracks directly in Canva.

• In the Canva editor, go to the Object Panel.

• Search for @artlist in the Elements tab.

• Browse through the video and audio results.

• Choose your desired stock elements.
