🔠 Photoshop releases “Dynamic Text”

This week, Adobe released "Dynamic Text," a new type layer feature in Photoshop that automatically resizes and adjusts text to fit within a text layer.
This makes it effortless to adapt designs across different screen sizes and resolutions, allowing the same layout to work seamlessly from mobile banners to desktop hero sections without manual text adjustments.

Video by @Pinsky
With Dynamic Text, you can now:
Auto-fit text boundaries: Text automatically adjusts to fit the shape of the text boundary, eliminating manual adjustment of text when resizing a text box.
Easy layout variations: Create different looks simply by resizing the type layer's boundary rectangle
Customizable spacing controls: Fine-tune word gaps and line gaps directly from the Properties panel.
Dynamic Text currently doesn’t work well with type layers containing bullets and numbers, though this is expected to be addressed in future updates.

👀 Mr. Beast releases "AI Thumbnail Generator”

This week, MrBeast launched and then quickly removed an "AI Thumbnail Generator" through his analytics company Viewstats following massive backlash from the creator community.
The world's most-subscribed YouTuber ever (410M+ subscribers) released the $80/month tool to level the playing field for smaller creators who can't afford expensive thumbnail designers.

The controversy exploded when:
Jacksepticeye (31M subscribers) discovered his logo was used in promotional material without permission.
Creators realized the tool could copy their thumbnail designs without consent.
Many saw it as stealing artists' work and making thumbnail plagiarism "socially acceptable."
Hey! Thanks for all your feedback on the ViewStats AI thumbnail tool, we pulled it and added a funnel for creators to find real thumbnail artists to commission

In a video response, MrBeast acknowledged his mistake:
“I thought people were going to be pretty excited about it, but I definitely missed the mark... I care more than any of you could ever imagine about the YouTube community. I don't take that responsibility lightly. It deeply makes me sad when I do something that, you know, people in the community are upset by.
With ViewStats, my goal here is to build tools that help creators and if creators don't want the tools, no worries. It's not that big of a deal. I also want to put out there: I guarantee you, I have spent more money on thumbnail artists than any other YouTuber in the world.
The AI tool has been replaced by something that directs people to the portfolios of real thumbnail artists so they can be commissioned instead, "turning this negative situation into something positive that helps artists generate more income doing what they love.”

While the AI thumbnail generator controversy dominated headlines, it’s important to note that Viewstats does, in fact, offer creators a comprehensive suite of YouTube analytics tools, many of which are available for 100% free.
The platform lets creators track trends, analyze competitors and A/B tests, find outlier videos, and create thumbnails that convert (all powered by real-time YouTube data and in one platform).
Do you think MrBeast made the right call removing the AI thumbnail generator?

🔊 ElevenLabs releases “Voice Design v3”

This week, ElevenLabs launched "Voice Design v3," a rebuilt voice generation tool that lets creators generate custom AI voices from simple text prompts across 70+ languages with hundreds of localized accents.
Users can now fine-tune voice tone, pacing, age, and other characteristics with finer control over character personalities.
For example: "a funny alien from outer space with a ludicrous and annoying voice that always slightly gargles in a silly high-pitch tone"
or "a calm, tough and gruff old cowboy with a deep, gravelly, southern American accent"

Key improvements include:
Higher audio quality and broader expressive range compared to previous versions
Compatibility with Eleven v3 and expressive audio tags like [excited], [whispers], and [sarcastically].
Support for creating realistic regional accents and culturally authentic voices.
Production-ready output suitable for audiobooks, podcasts, gaming, and commercial projects.
This release positions ElevenLabs to compete directly with traditional voice acting for character work, offering creators an affordable alternative to hiring multiple voice actors for projects requiring diverse character voices.
Voice Design v3 is currently available to all users. Users can upgrade to the Starter to create more than 3 custom voices ($1 for your first month until June 30, 2025).
API access coming soon for developers.
